Day -1 Airport / Negombo / Waikkal

Arrival at Colombo Bandaranayake International Airport Meet and greet by Sri Lanka Express Representative Transfer to Waikkal (40 minutes drive) and check in at the hotel. Check in – 12h00 Welcome drink and cold towel (free of charge) Lunch at the hotel.

15h30 In the afternoon, do a City tour in Negombo Negombo is in the heart of Sri Lanka's fishing industry. The sea and catamarans is the Backdrop of the Negombo scenery. Visit the Negombo lagoon and a fish auction. Also visit the Dutch Fort and a Catholic Church. The Portuguese and Dutch settlers in the 17th/18th centuries were intent on introducing Christianity to these coastal villages. As a result, the coast is scattered with several colonial period churches. An old network of canals covering about 130 kilometres developed by the Dutch, linking Colombo’s seaport to the North Western coastal towns for transporting cinnamon and spices, still function as active waterways full of life. These canal paths winding through the villages. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day-2 Colombo / Pinnawala / Dambulla / Giritale

08h00 Breakfast at the hotel.

08h30 – 10h30 Proceed to Pinnawala.

10h30 – 11h30 Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. This orphanage is the residence of baby elephants where you will see baby elephants are cared and fed and their daily life including the herd of elephants has their daily bath.

11h30 – 14h00 Proceed to Dambulla Lunch en route Visit the Dambulla Rock temple where you will climb the rock. (1h30 visit) This temple was donated by King Walagambahu in the first century BC to monks. This is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples, is a complex of five caves with over 2000sq meters of paintings and these caves contains over 150 images Continue to Giritale.

Day- 3 Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa

08h00 Breakfast at the hotel

08h30 – 09h30 Proceed to Sigiriya

09h30 – 11h30 Climb the Sigiriya Rock Sigiriya rock is a world heritage site built in the 05th century AD. This ancient Kingdom is called "Lion Rock" The palace complex consists in a water garden, innermost, and rampart.

11h30 - 1300 On completion proceed to Polonnaruwa Lunch en route Do a city tour of Polonnaruwa by bicycles (2h30 visit) Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka in 11th and 12th centuries AD which too a world heritage site. You will see here famous Gal Viharaya where four splendid statues of Lord Buddha.

17h00 Return to Hotel Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day- 4 Habarana / Hiriwaduna / Minneriya

08h00 Breakfast at the hotel.

08h30 – 09h15 Proceed to Habarana.

10h30 – 11h30 Ayurveda Massage experience in Habarana area.

10h30 – 11h30 Do an elephant back ride in the jungles of Habarana Thereafter, trek into the villages to explore the Sri Lankan beauty and explore the village life. Clients will be invited by the bullock carts to take them into the village to see the villages attending to their daily life. Also, a small cross over on a barrel type boat on the river.

In the afternoon, proceed to Minneriya Go wild in style – Game drive to the Minneriya National Park by safari vehicle 4x4 The extent of the Minneriya National Park is about 8,889 hectares. There are wet-lands in this National Park, which have international importance, animal and Plant species, which are plenty in dry zone, are found in this park. Wild elephants, various amphibians, local and immigrant bird species are plenty in this park. About 160 species of birds, 09 amphibians, 25 reptiles’ species, 26 fish species and more than 78 butterfly species have been found in this area. There are bamboos trees which are rare in other parks and wild elephants can be seen conveniently. The significant feature is that these elephants can be seen going closer to them. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day- 5 Giritala / Matale / Kandy

08h00 Breakfast at the hotel.

08h30 – 10h30 Proceed to Matale Visit a spice garden in Matale. You will see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed today spices are used mainly to flavour food. In medieval times, however, spices played a more important role as food preserving agents. In the absence of fridges and freezers, people used spices to preserve meat during the long winter months. A Cookery demonstration will be shown and thereafter clients will have to do it by themselves. Also, a quick free massage will be organized at the gardens/ Lunch en route.

13h30 Continue to Kandy (1 hour drive) Do a city tour in Kandy Kandy was the last capital of Sri Lanka. Many of the legends, customs. Cloths, traditions are still you will see alive in this zone. Arrival at hotel and check in Welcome drink and cold towel (free of charge) Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day- 6 Peradeniya

09h00 Breakfast at the hotel.

09h30 – 09h45 Proceed to Peradeniya and visit Royal Botanical Garden The botanical Garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Singhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent. You will see amazing varieties of trees, plants, Lunch en route Rest of the day, free at leisure to explore the beauty of Kandy and free time for shopping In the evening visit temple of the tooth relic and thereafter witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day - 7 Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

08h30 Breakfast at the hotel.

09h00 – 09h15 Proceed to the Kandy railway station and board the local train to Gampola. You will explore the best sceneries of Sri Lanka. Continue to Nuwara Eliya. Visit a Tea plantation and a factory where the best tea in the world is produced Lunch en route Do a city tour in Nuwara Eliya which is Sri Lanka's most popular hill resort, also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea zone producing a significant share of the world's best tea. Day- 8 Nuwara Eliya / Kitulgala / Colombo / Mount Lavinia

07h30 Breakfast at the hotel

08h00 – 11h30 Proceed to Kitulgala. Explore the Kitulgala river where the famous file “Bridge of the river Kwai” was filmed White Water Rafting Experience Lunch en route Thereafter proceed to Colombo.

16h00 In the afternoon, do a City tour in Colombo Colombo is the capital of Sri Lanka. The places of interest are Pettah Bazaar where you can do shopping for Bargains the old parliament in fort, a Buddhist temple in Chinese architecture in the middle of the famous Bayra Lake and a Hindu Temple. Arrival at hotel and check in Welcome drink and cold towel (free of charge) Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day- 9 Mount Lavinia / Airport / Maldives

Breakfast at the hotel Transfer to Airport for Departure OR Extension on the beach.
